Biography:
Julio Santiago has hit the contemporary Cuban art scene with a big bang. Santiago
lives in Central Havana, where he was born. Unknown and unseen in the United
States until recently, we premiered Julio Santiago's work on eBay and his art
has sold for as high as $515! Santiago has dedication, passion, and heart. His
paintings are brash and bold, unlike anything else on the island. The symbols
and colors in his work are evocative of Santeria, a Cuban religion that mixes
elements of Catholicism and west African religions. European art buyers recognized
his raw talent and purchased many of his pieces. He is hotter than Havana in
August!
The buyer will receive a copy of the official "Registrar of the National Bureau
of Culture for the Republic of Cuba" that authorizes and authenticates this
